The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team for the white-ball series against the West Indies National Women’s Cricket Team. The two teams will face each other in the three-match T20I and three-match ODI series.
The BCCI has named 15-member teams for both the series with Harmanpreet Kaur leading the team. The captain along with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Uma Chetry, Titas Sadhu, Deepti Sharma, Saima Thakor, Renuka Singh Thakur, Minnu Mani and Priya Mishra will play both series.
Nandini Kashyap, Sajana Sajeevan, Raghvi Bist and Radha Yadav will be part of the T20I series and will not appear in ODIs. While Pratika Rawal, Tejal Hasabnis and Tanuja Kanwer have been selected for the 50-over series and will not play the three-match T20I series against the West Indies women’s national cricket team.
Yastika Bhatia, Shreyanka Patil and Priya Punia missed both teams due to injuries. The BCCI issued an official statement about the trio and mentioned, “Ms. Yastika Bhatia, Ms. Shreyanka Patil and Ms. Priya Punia were injured and were not available for selection.”

India vs West Indies Schedule
The West Indies women’s national cricket team’s tour to India will begin with the three-match T20I series. The first match will be played on Sunday (December 15), followed by the second and third matches on Tuesday (December 17) and Thursday (December 19). All three matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
After that, the ODI series will be played from Sunday (December 22). The second match of the series between India and West Indies is scheduled to be played on Tuesday (December 24), followed by the last match of the series to be played on Friday (December 27). All three matches will be played at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
India will enter the series after being beaten in Australia
The Indian women’s national cricket team will enter the series after the chaotic loss against the Australia women’s national cricket team. They faced a 3-0 rout at the hands of Australia’s opposition and were heavily criticized for their poor performances.
They would hope to turn things around in the upcoming series against the West Indies National Women’s Cricket Team. They would hope to win both series and give their fans something to cheer about.
