AB de Villiers said on his YouTube channel, “The planning for the IPL auction was done months in advance. I agree in a way. Phil Salt, I love watching him play. He is one of the big favorites in the SA20 tournament. I saw Salt score a lot of runs for the Pretoria Capitals.”
“Yes, perhaps they have missed it by not buying it or by not retaining it for the Delhi capitals. He didn’t play much last year and perhaps disappointed some of the management. But he is a fantastic player and it is a shame not to see him there.”
The Delhi Capitals have changed their style of play since changing their name. The Capitals have performed excellently in the last few editions of the Indian Premier League and also reached the final in the 2020 edition.
