Indian Premier League (IPL) Trophy

The final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will tentatively take place on May 26, according to PTI. The BCCI has been working on the dates for the cash-rich league for many days and is also coordinating with the Indian government to prepare the schedule.

Also, the organizers will keep in mind the T20 World Cup 2024, so that the Indian team has enough time to prepare for the event. If the premier IPL final of 2024 is held on May 26, India would have a time of 8 days to prepare for the event.

The BCCI must also keep in mind the general elections of 2024. The dates of the elections and the Indian Premier League will clash, so the world’s richest cricket board has to manage everything and then publish the schedule.

The IPL final is expected to take place on May 26, 2024

Previously, IPL 2009 was held in South Africa, while the first leg of IPL 2014 was held in the United Arab Emirates. The reason behind the same was the general elections. However, during the 2019 general elections, the entire edition of the IPL was held in India without any disturbance.

Indian Premier League President Arun Dhumal while talking to IANS stated that they will work with the Indian government and agencies to ensure that the tournament remains in India. The IPL organizers are waiting for the Loksabha election schedule and then the IPL 2024 dates will be released accordingly.

The Indian Premier League 2023 was held between March 31 and May 28 and the provisional schedule for the 17th edition of the tournament is expected to remain the same. The matches will begin from 07:30 pm IST, while the draw will take place at 07:00 pm

The Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, are the incumbents of the Indian Premier League and also the joint most successful team in the history of the tournament. CSK will once again try to repeat their 2023 exploits and become the most successful team in the history of the tournament.

Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, which is the world’s largest cricket ground, is expected to host the opening match of the tournament and the final.

The brand value of the Indian Premier League has increased with each passing year. Australian pacer Mitchell Starc was the most expensive player in the IPL 2024 auction and was picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders for a price of INR 24.75 crore. Additionally, the broadcast rights for the tournament were sold for Rs 44,075 crore.

The Indian Premier League is a platform that has given many big names to world cricket. Some of them are Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Chahar and many more. The IPL is a platform for young aspiring cricketers to showcase their talent on the world stage.

The Indian Premier League is also a place where the biggest names from around the world come to India and entertain the Indian audience. During the IPL, hardly any international series are held.
