Mumbai Indians (MI) are having a blast at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction. The five-time champions have made some important additions to their team at the bidding event, which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday (November 25).
Mumbai Indians roped in players like Trent Boult, Robin Minz, Ryan Rickelton, Naman Dhir, Karn Sharma and Deepak Chahar. Their latest addition was England national cricket team all-rounder Will Jacks, in whom they showed interest from the beginning.
Mumbai Indians were involved in a bidding war with Punjab Kings for Rs 5.25 crore, and made sure there was no backing down. The five-time champions got the services of the all-rounder for less than Rs 6 crore and after that, it was up to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) whether they wanted to use the RTM or not.
However, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru management went against that and it was Mumbai Indians who acquired Will Jacks for INR 5.25 crore. When the league’s most successful franchise landed the all-rounder, there was a sense of joy among the five-time champion’s management.
It was then that Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani got up from his seat and headed to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru table. The owner thanked the CEO of the Bengaluru-based franchise and shook hands with other members of the franchise.
