Jay Shah will take over as ICC president on December 1, 2024, and before that, he took another important decision along with the board. The BCCI secretary has announced that players participating in the Indian Premier League will receive a match fee of INR 7.5 lakh in addition to the contracted amount.

Additionally, Indian Premier League franchises will be allocated an additional amount of INR 12.60 crore to manage players’ match fees for a season.
