In what has been the latest development as per ESPNCricinfo reports, it is learned that the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management has decided on his retentions. Reports claimed that South African wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen, Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins and Indian spinner Abhishek Sharma will be the top three retentions.

Reports claimed that Heinrich Klaasen will be the team’s first retainer and will receive INR 23 crores. Pat Cummins, on the other hand, will be the second retainer and will remain with the team for INR 18 crore, and India all-rounder Abhishek Sharma, who will be the third retainer, will remain with the team for INR 14 crore.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are also likely to retain Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Abhishek Sharma was SRH’s second highest run-scorer

Abhishek Sharma, on the other hand, was the second highest run-scorer for SRH in IPL 2024. He scored 484 in 16 innings at a strike rate of 204.21. The leadoff hitter also had the highest scoring rate among the top ten players in the tournament last season.

Pat Cummins was also decent on the ball for the team. The leading fast bowler got his lead right and also led from the front. He picked 18 wickets in the tournament with an economy of just over 9 and was also handy with the bat for his team in the league.

With SRH set to retain 5 players, they have their core group and hope to take a step forward and win the title this time.
