CSK captain MS Dhoni has successfully undergone knee surgery as reported by Cricbuzz. Sources close to CSK have revealed that the operation has gone well and that the CSK boss is fit. He will stay in the hospital for a couple of days before being released.
Reports in Revsportz said MS Dhoni was to be admitted to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai this week for a series of tests related to his knee injury.

We’ve been told it’s a minimally invasive surgery: CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan
Now CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said he spoke to MS Dhoni after the surgery on Thursday morning. “I spoke to him after the operation. I can’t explain what the surgery is about, but we’ve been told it’s a minimally invasive surgery. It sounded good in our conversation,” he confirmed.
MS Dhoni’s knee operation was performed by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, a sports medicine specialist who previously worked with Rishabh Pant on a similar problem. The operation was carried out at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, where the CSK boss was admitted on May 31. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi is by his side after the surgery.

CSK management has appointed their team doctor Dr. Madhu Thottappil in Mumbai to oversee MS Dhoni’s treatment. The exact timing of her full recovery is not yet known, but the CSK pattern is expected to be up and running in about two months.
MS Dhoni spoke about returning for IPL 2024 after CSK’s fifth IPL winning the title. He said that his comeback will be more of a return gift to his fans across the country for their unconditional love and support towards the former Indian captain.

“Circumstantially, if you see, this is the best time for me to announce my retirement. But the amount of love and care they’ve shown me, wherever I’ve been this year… I think the easiest thing for me would be to say ‘Thank you very much’, but the hardest thing for me would be to work hard. for nine months and come back and play at least one more IPL season. But a lot depends on the body.” said MS Dhoni vowing to return next year.
