They will seek to release their bag by releasing these players.
The defenders of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) could have to adjust their alignment of bowling before the auction of the Premier League players of the Premier of India 2026.
With 22 WICKETS, Josh Hazlewood was the real bowling players of Bengaluru, and although he would be one of the favorites that would be preserved for IPL 2026, the same cannot be said about Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal.
Does Bhuvnehwar Kumar and Yash Dayal will be launched by RCB?
There is a great possibility that Bengaluru de Royal Challenge can free both Bhuvneshar Kumar and Yash Dayal before the mini-auction IPL 2026. Of course, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has not done anything bad in IPL 2025.
He, in fact, ended as the highest wickt pilot in the joint for the side led by Rajat Patidar with 17 chasing leathers, the same as the Spinner Krunal Pandya. Yash Dayal, however, had a lower performance.
Although it took 13 15 -games WICKETS, Yash Dayal Bowling average of 36.15 was the worst fourth among Bengaluru bowling players. Compared to him, Bhuvnehwar Kumar was slightly better with an average bowling of 28.41.
Yash Dayal was expensive in deaths in IPL 2025, with its economy rate reading 12.10. In 10 games, he could only take four wickets in the excesses of death, which also aggravated his inability to play consistent lines and lengths.
Bhuvnehwar Kumar also endured an economy rate of more than 10 in the excesses of death, while only taking seven Wickts. In the power game, although Bhuvnehwar managed to take only eight WICKETS, he still had a relatively better economy rate of 8.03.
How real Bengaluru challengers can release their auction bag
However, the duo’s actions will not be the only reason why Bengaluru, Real Challengers, could seek to free Bhuvneshwar and Dayal. Another reason is that reigning champions could be looking to release their auction bag before the IPL 2026 auction.
Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired Bhuvneshwar from INR 10.50 million rupees, while Yash Dayal (INR 5 million rupees) was one of the team’s withholdings. When launching the duo, Bengaluru, Royal Challengers, can release a total of INR 15.50 million rupees before the IPL 2026 auction.

The performance of Bhuvnehwar Kumar was quite mediocre, not so bad or not very good either. It can also be argued that, due to its mediocre performance, it is not worth retaining the old Hyderabad (SRH) pacemaker.
However, Bangalore’s real challengers can still release Bhuvnehwar and buy it at a much lower price at the IPL 2026 auction, because, as we witness in IPL 2025, it can still be shocking with WICKETS at crucial intervals.
In general, it will be a difficult decision for real challengers, Bengaluru, whether to keep both, release both, PR KEEP or release any of them. This is because both, at some point in IPL 2025, have been guilty of granting excessive races, especially in death, and death bowling is where royal bangalore challengers have historically fought.
In a nutshell, the reigning champions will have to find more reliable death bowling players, someone who can be a worthy support for Josh Hazlewood, if he hopes to defend the IPL title next year.
