An old video goes viral in which Suryavanshi reveals her real age.

13-year-old Bihar cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi entered the record books during Day 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) auction in Jeddah. Not only did he become the youngest cricketer to be picked in an IPL auction, but he also became Crorepati after Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured the youngster for INR 1.1 crore.

However, soon after sealing the deal, a clip of a video started going viral on social media where Suryavanshi revealed her age while speaking in an interview. Interestingly, in the video, which was recorded in 2023, Suryavanshi said that she would turn 14 on September 27 last year, which would technically mean that she is currently 15 years old and not 13. On ESPNCricinfo, her birth month is mentioned. like March, which gives way to new speculation.

The situation has now drawn attention among fans on social media and it remains to be seen whether any official action is taken or not.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has shown tremendous promise in a short time

Suryavanshi’s remarkable rise in cricket has been a topic of discussion ever since he made his First Class debut for Bihar in January 2024. His performances have caught the eye and established him as a player to watch.

He further reinforced his reputation as a cricketing prodigy during the Youth Test series against Australia U19, held in September and October. In the first match of the series, he made a sensational century, a performance that not only showcased his immense talent but also highlighted his willingness to excel on bigger, more competitive stages.

The young batting sensation will soon be seen in India’s squad for the U19 Asia Cup, which is scheduled to begin later this month. India is scheduled to begin its continental tournament campaign in a high-profile encounter against arch-rivals Pakistan on November 30. The other two teams in India’s group are Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
