The sprinter of the Talismanic India Jasprit Bumrah has been discarded from the ENG vs Ind 5th test in the Oval, scheduled to begin from July 31. Before coming to England, Bumrah was expected to play three games in an attempt to manage his workload. Although he has appeared in the three assigned games, with the series at stake, it was speculated that India will play his ace in the last game.
Chief coach Gautam Gambhir also said after the fourth test in Manchester that there were no injury concerns and that all fast bowling players were available for the selection at the end of the series. However, it is now understood that BCCI’s medical team has not given Bumrah the thumbs to safeguard his back, taking into account the long -term objectives. In the current series of England, Bumrah had to take care of a considerable amount of workload. Given the slow nature of the launches, Bumrah, in fact, launched the greatest amount of overs in an entry (33) during the Manchester test, taking two wickts and filtering more than 100 races for the first time.
