Pakistan national cricket team has received a major boost ahead of the upcoming Test series against the England national cricket team. Pace player Khurram Shahzad has avoided injuries and will be fit for the three-match Test series against the Ben Stokes-led side.

Khurram Shahzad, who has suffered quite a few injuries in the past, has avoided a life-threatening scare. The fast bowler suffered an injury during the second Test match against the Bangladesh national cricket team, which took place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

On the final day of the match, Khurram Shahzad was not on the field against the Bangladesh national cricket team. The fast bowler felt uncomfortable during the match and after the match, he complained of pain and stiffness on the left side of his body.

Shahzad underwent scans and as per ESPNCricinfo reports, it was learnt that the fast bowler has avoided any fracture. The doctors have advised the fast bowler to take a short period of rest and there are high chances that he will be fit for the Test series against the England National Cricket Team.

Shahzad’s injury in the second Test was a major concern for the player as well as the Pakistan team. The right-arm spinner recently suffered an injury during his debut Test series in Australia, which was a stress fracture in his rib, and was then out for a long time due to the same.

Khurram Shahzad has returned to the Test series against Bangladesh and as he is facing another injury problem, he will not be taking part in the domestic circuit competition. The player will not be taking part in the Champions One-Day Cup which starts next week.

Pakistan team management wants the player to be fully fit for the Test series against the England national cricket team, which will begin on October 7 in Multan. Reports claim that the player will undergo another MRI scan next week to monitor his progress.
