Pakistan A lost two quick wickets before Yasir Khan (33) and Qasim Akram (27) recovered during the chase. Later, Arafat Minhas (41) and Abdul Samad (25) played good hands to keep Pakistan A in the game.
But they lost too many wickets and although Abbas Afridi (18) tried his best, he could not take Pakistan A to the finish line. They fell short by seven runs to give India A a victory to open their campaign.
