The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final on June 29 to win the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in Barbados. The Men in Blue became the first team to win the World Cup as an undefeated team.
It was India’s first title after 11 years and first World Cup since the 2011 ODI World Cup triumph. Moreover, India won the second T20 World Cup after 17 years, having won the prestigious cup in 2007 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
