Chennai Super Kings’ latest recruit Noor Ahmad bowled a magnificent spell during Durban Super Giants’ final SA20 2025 match against two-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The deck was a bit useful for slow players, and Noor, adept at exploiting conditions, once again showed his superior skills.
He snared four wickets for 25 runs in his four-over spell, emerging as his team’s best bowler. Noor started his show with a beautiful delivery that went through Zak Crawley’s gate to disturb the stumps.

What are the chances of Noor Ahmad starting in the CSK lineup?
While Noor Ahmad is a quality operator and will be a starter in any T20 team in the world, he is not sure of finding a place in CSK’s playing XI in IPL 2025. CSK have two established spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin , which will begin in the XI. almost all games, leaving no room for a third roulette.
The four overs players in CSK’s XI could be Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Jamie Overton and Matheesha Pathirana, leaving no room for Noor. However, CSK can try Noor for Overton in home matches as the decks in Chennai heavily favor spinners.
The only thing going against Noor is that he doesn’t contribute much with the willow, so replacing an all-rounder with a specialist spinner could make CSK think twice. However, his inclusion will strengthen the multi-bowling unit and can cover the batting depth.
