Virat Kohli played a key role with the bat as India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second Test to sweep the two-match series.

The former India captain failed to get going with the bat in the two innings of the first Test in Chennai. He was out for six runs in the first innings before being dismissed for 17 in the second. Fortunately for India, the right-hand batsman’s failures with the bat did not cost them much as they won the game by 280 runs.

In the second Test, Virat Kohli made useful contributions with the bat in both the innings. In the first innings, he played a quickfire knock of 47 runs. After India lost a couple of wickets in quick succession, the veteran batsman and KL Rahul steadied the ship by sharing an 87-run stand for the fifth wicket. Kohli’s knock came off just 35 balls and was studded with a four and a six.

In the second innings, he came out to bat when India were 34/2 while chasing a modest total of 95 runs. Kohli went on to share a 58-run stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal and eventually remained unbeaten on 29.

Apart from his batting, Kohli also entertained fans with his usual on-field antics. The star batsman was once again at his animated best on the field. And in a recent video that is going viral on social media, Kohli could be heard cursing, using his favorite swear words that rhyme with England star Ben Stokes.

The incident took place when the Indian players were heading to the locker room. As the players left the field, Kohli was heard saying: “Chal behen***d.”

A Test match to remember for Virat Kohli:

Although Virat Kohli did not score big in the second Test against Bangladesh, he managed to achieve two more milestones. In the first innings of the Test, Kohli broke the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record of fastest 27,000 runs in international cricket.

He also became the second Indian player to achieve the feat. Later, in the second Test innings, he became the sixth Indian player to hit 1000 fours in Tests.
