Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a defeat of 42 races against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday.

Bengaluru Captain Royal Bengaluru, Jitesh Sharma, made a strange comment after a 42 racing defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an IPL 2025 match in Lucknow on Friday. Jitesh said that sometimes losing a game could be a “very good sign”, since it gives his team the opportunity to analyze and return in the next game.

“Sometimes, losing a game is a very good sign because you can verify and analyze. The positive is that everyone is marking,” said the Wicktkeeper-Bater at the presentation ceremony after the game. “After this defeat, we have a setback to verify [things] again. We will advance, ”he added.

The loss for Hyderab Sunrisers means that Bengaluru’s possibilities of Royal Challenge of sealing a higher place becomes a bit complicated.

How RCB lost to SRH

You could even say that the RCB vs SRH match was held and the Sunrisers Hyderabad tickets was dusted. Jitesh Sharma won the raffle and said that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru would appear first. However, the decision to do it turned out to be a nightmare when the WICKETKEPER-BATER ISHAN KISHAN roared to form again.

Isehan Kishan has largely had a forgettable season, except for a century against Rajasthan Royals (RR) very early in the season. However, on Friday, Crickt Jharkhand player hit RCB to his two higher hopes with an undefeated 94 of 48 balls that led Sunrisers Hyderabad to 231/6.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru began strongly in his persecution with the Phil Salt (62) and Virat Kohli (43) forging 80 races for the first wicket. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad won impulse with regular wicks and needed the stand-in JITESH Sharma (24) pattern and Impact Rajat Patidar (18) player to forge a solid association. However, his association for the fourth Wickt lasted only 44 races and the Wickts began to fall as nine pins.

From 120/2 at one stage, the three times finalists were out of 189 in 19.5 overs.

The two best RCB opportunities explained

The loss of Hyderabad Sunrisers means that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have passed to third place with 17 points of 13 games. Although they have already secured the Playoffs qualification, its two main possibilities will now depend on other results.

Finish in the top two will give RCB an additional opportunity in the final classification, since the loser of the qualifier 1 plays the qualifier winner in qualifier 2.

Needless to say, the team led by Rajat Patidar will have to overcome Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their last League match next week. They will also have to wait for Gujarat Titans (first place, 18 points) and Punjab Kings (second place, 17 points) to lose their remaining games.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru currently has a net execution rate (NRR) of +0.482, and should beat Lucknow Super Giants for a great margin if Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings won their latest games.
