Rohit Sharma went on to say that if he had not made changes to himself, he would have ended up leaving cricket, which could have led to disaster.
“I had to make changes at the time or I knew I wouldn’t have to play cricket anymore, I knew my life is on the edge, if I don’t perform or if I don’t do certain things in a way, this can lead to disaster. Then I would have nowhere to go. It was that kind of situation for me.”
Rohit Sharma is currently the captain of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Being the only captain to win 5 IPL trophies, he has guided his team to the playoffs this year. He will be seen in action when they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator on Wednesday (24) May.
