Tamil Nadu spinner M Siddharth will represent Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-arm spinner had signed up at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs and went on to get a deal of Rs 2.40 crore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants were interested in the spinner and the latter eventually won the bidding race. While M Siddharth is yet to make his IPL debut, he has been associated with the tournament for quite some time now.
In 2020, Kolkata Knight Riders snapped him up, although he did not get a chance to play. In 2021, Delhi Capitals signed him before an unfortunate injury ruled him out of the tournament. The 25-year-old hopes to finally make his IPL debut next year. The conditions in Lucknow will also help spin bowling. So far, he has played 7 T20s and has taken an impressive 18 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of less than 5.
