Vidarbha has been among the most consistent teams in the domestic circuit along with Mumbai in the last decade. The 2017-18 Ranji Trophy Champions had almost reached their third title last season, but lost to the Mumbai record champions. This season, they made sure they avenged when the defenders champions in the semifinal with an 80 -run advantage. The side led by Akshay Wadkar has carried out its shape of the Vijay Hazare trophy, where they reached the final, without losing a single game in the group stages.

Danish Malewar rescued Vidarbha again and again in his debut Ranji Trophy Season
