Microphones fool Rohit Sharma again; India captain heard talking about ‘family restrictions’ with Agarkar at press conference [WATCH]

Rohit reveals that players are not happy with the new policies.

Rohit Sharma and his fun date with the microphones once again took center stage, this time during the press conference for the announcement of the Indian team for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 and the IND vs ENG ODIs.

Rohit, unaware that the microphone in front of him was on, was caught talking to chief selector Ajit Agarkar about the BCCI’s recent ruling on ‘family restrictions’. The Indian captain revealed that the players are not happy with the policy and have expressed their concerns to him.

Following India’s defeat in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), the BCCI has reportedly stipulated that families can join together if the player is away for more than 45 days. However, the duration should be one visit per series, with a maximum duration of two weeks.

“I have to sit for an hour and a half. These are all the words of my family,” Rohit said.

The conversation was finally interrupted when someone interrupted Rohit and the press conference began.

Rohit Sharma gives a cheeky response

The recent development regarding family members’ travel received considerable backlash from fans as many believed that the real issue had not been addressed and that the BCCI indirectly blamed the cricketers’ wives for the series defeat in Australia.

When a journalist questioned Rohit about the same, the Indian captain gave a cheeky reply saying:

“Who told you about the rules? Does it come from an official source? Let it be officially the first.”

Additionally, the BCCI has banned players from traveling independently with their family members. All players must now use the team bus to travel, while their families will be accommodated in a separate vehicle.

Travel schedules for family members will also be finalized only after obtaining approval from the captain, head selector and team manager.
