Mohammad Rizwan puts on lipstick and keeps jumping like a pigeon: Anil Chaudhary slams Pakistani star

Indian cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has spoken out about Pakistan national cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan’s unwanted requests. He said that the Pakistani batsman keeps jumping like pigeons and subtly insulted him, calling him a loser.

Pakistan national cricket team wicketkeeper and batsman Mohammad Rizwan is undoubtedly one of the most animated characters on the field. The right-handed bowler constantly makes energetic calls behind the stumps, almost always rising when the ball passes the bat.

Mohammad Rizwan has also been often criticised for this. Many fans and experts have criticised the wicketkeeper-batsman for making unnecessary appeals. There have also been many instances where he has even wasted the DRS many times for his team.

Rizwan has been one of the decent batsmen for the Pakistan National Cricket Team in all three formats. He has also been doing a decent job for the team behind the stumps. But one thing that needs to improve is his striking and DRS calls behind the stumps.

In a video shared on YouTube channel ‘2 Sloggers’, umpire Anil Chaudhary was asked if he had ever officiated a match in which Rizwan had played. Though, at first, the umpires did not acknowledge him, he came up with an incident from the Asia Cup where Rizwan repeatedly appealed.

Anil Chaudhary spoke about how he told his fellow umpire to deal with it because Mohammad Rizwan was asking for every ball to be marked. He stressed that Pakistani batsmen need to understand that technology has evolved. He explained:

“He is very attractive. I even told my fellow umpire to stay alert. Har ball pe chilla hai (He keeps shouting on every ball). Isn’t he the one who puts on something like lipstick? He keeps jumping like a pigeon. See, the fact is that a good umpire knows who a good wicket-keeper is. If the umpire is good, these wicket-keepers are losers.

“And so much technology has come, why do you keep disrespecting it? You will look bad, you will make fun of it (When technology has evolved so much, why do you have to look bad? People tend to make fun of) such things.”

Mohammad Rizwan plays key role for Pakistan in first Test against Bangladesh

Rizwan is currently part of Pakistan’s squad for the ongoing Test match against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The first Test match between the teams is underway at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, and the wicketkeeper-batsman has made a huge impact.

Mohammad Rizwan finished with an unbeaten innings of 171 runs off 239 balls. He hit 11 fours and sixes in his innings, batting at a strike rate of around 73. His innings ensured that Pakistan went past 400 runs as the hosts finished their first innings on 448/6. Apart from his heroics with the bat, he has been sensational behind the stumps and has also taken some excellent catches.
