Mohammed Shami snubs Indian greats, names Pakistan fast bowler among all-time favourites

Indian national team cricketer Mohammed Shami has named his favourite fast bowlers. The top-class cricketer named former Pakistan national team cricketer Waqar Younis and former South Africa national team cricketer Dale Steyn as his favourites.

Mohammed Shami is arguably one of the best fast bowlers that the Indian National Cricket Team has ever produced. The fast bowler has made a huge impact for the team in all three formats and is currently ranked amongst the best fast bowlers in world cricket in both red-ball and white-ball forms.

Mohammed Shami has made a consistent impact on the Indian National Cricket Team ever since he made his debut for the team. The fast bowler has thrived under pressure for the team and has contributed immensely to the team in major tournaments.

Mohammed Shami has been exceptional in the recent ICC events. His best performance came in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2023 where he showed his best and helped India reach the final of the tournament without losing a single match.

Mohammed Shami missed the first few matches due to the team combination. But once he came into the team, he completely changed his look. The fast bowler took a huge number of wickets and helped the Indian National Cricket Team win the matches single-handedly and in a dominant manner.

Despite being injured, Shami gave his best for the team. The fast bowler had pain in his ankle but decided to play despite the discomfort. He took injections and painkillers and ended up as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, with 24 wickets to his name.

Since then, Mohammed Shami has been out of action. The fast-pacer underwent surgery and has been undergoing rehabilitation. The fast bowler has returned to bowling in the nets and will soon be back in action with the Indian National Cricket Team.

Shami will reportedly make a comeback in the 2025 Ranji Trophy for his state team Bengal. He has been included among the 31 probable members for the Bengal squad. Reports claimed that he might play two matches before returning to the Indian team.
