Mohammed Siraj later clarified that Head was lying in the press conference and never said, “Well played.”

Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj were involved in another brief conversation on the third day of the Adelaide Test when Siraj came in to bat. While the conversation was unclear, the two were likely trying to clarify what happened yesterday and what they said at the post-game press conference.

Head said he appreciated Siraj for bowling a wonderful ball to dismiss him, but Siraj misbehaved. However, on Star Sports, Mohammed Siraj later clarified that Head was lying in the press conference and never said, “Well bowled.”

“I was enjoying bowling with him. It was a good battle because he hit very well. When a batsman hits you for a six with a good ball, you feel bad. That gave me energy. After knocking him down, I celebrated. Then he abused me. You can also see it on television. At first it was my celebration. I didn’t tell him anything. At the press conference he said the wrong thing. He lied. In no way did he say well thrown. We respect everyone. I always respect everyone because cricket is a gentleman’s game. Travis Head’s actions were wrong. “I didn’t feel good.”
