MONTREAL TIGERS FORM: THE ALL-CONQUERING CHAMPS

The Montreal Tigers come into this one on the back of a 42-run win over the Brampton Wolves in their most recent outing, the other day. In that game, Dilpreet Bajwa was promoted to the top of the order and he scored an excellent unbeaten century from just 55 balls. In their previous matches they had beaten the Vancouver Knights by ten runs and Bangla Tigers Mississauga by 33 runs in their opening game.

TORONTO NATIONALS FORM: FINDING CONSISTENCY

The Toronto Nationals most recently suffered a two-run loss to Bangla Tigers Mississauga in Brampton the other day. They conceded 168-7 in their 20 overs before they then fell just short. They are currently third in the six-team table ahead of this clash and are sliding away after starting the season with back-to-back victories they have now endured back-to-back losses.

MONTREAL TIGERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Montreal Tigers have an excellent batting unit but one of their gun, more reliable top order players has yet to hit a significant score with captain Chris Lynn out for a two-ball duck against the Wolves. Given the supreme form that Bajwa has found, though, from the middle order and now as an opener, it is difficult to back against him being the Tigers’ top scorer once again.

With the ball, the Montreal Tigers have benefitted from the excellent variation bowling of seaming all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai. The Afghan was nearing in on a big bag of wickets with his performances and he took 4-21 the other day. Another stellar performance from Omarzai in which he takes two or more wickets would seem a good bet.

TORONTO NATIONALS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Toronto Nationals, with their Lahore Qalandars coaching staff, could do with finding a bit of rhythm and form if they are to arrest their current two-match losing streak. Being bowled out for 81 by the Surrey Jaguars does not help the perception of their batting lineup. Colin Munro, though, showed signs of improvement with 17 off 12 and him to score 30 or more runs in his next innings would look to be following the right lines.

In the bowling department, the Toronto Nationals have a fair bit of variation in terms of their seam bowling capabilities but it is a pace off sort of tournament so the focus will be on Pakistani slow left arm orthodox bowler Mohammad Nawaz to be their best bowler in the match.

MONTREAL TIGERS VS TORONTO NATIONALS EXPERT PREDICTION

There is a stark difference in the quality and form of these two teams with the Montreal Tigers marching on towards potentially defending their title, despite having to go through the eliminator last season after finishing outside of the top two. The Toronto Nationals, on the other hand, may well have ran out of luck from their opening two games and backing the Tigers looks the way to go for this one.
