Sri Lanka national cricket team batsman Niroshan Dickwella has been suspended from all forms of cricket. According to reports from NewsWire, it has been learnt that the batsman has been suspended from playing due to an alleged anti-doping violation.

Reports claimed that Niroshan Dickwella has been suspended for violating anti-doping rules during the recently concluded Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024. It was also learnt that until further investigations, the wicketkeeper-batsman will not be allowed to play.

Niroshan Dickwella has reportedly consumed cocaine and has been the subject of a serious investigation. Apart from playing cricket, the wicketkeeper-batsman has also been suspended from all sporting activities, including training. This is a major setback for him as it puts his career in jeopardy.

Dickwella reportedly tested positive in a doping test conducted by the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency. The test was conducted at the end of the Sri Lanka Premier League and the reports did not favour the former Sri Lanka National Cricket Team captain.
