Tejaswi shares family’s emotional rollercoaster during Nitish’s century

Nitish’s sister Tejaswi shared her family’s emotional experience during his century, saying that they were anxious as he approached the milestone, especially when his score was 97 and 99. She expressed that when he finally reached the century, they were overwhelmed by happiness. and pride, feeling as if they were the ones playing.

“We were praying to God that it would be a century. We were very tense when the score was 97, 99 but when the century reached we were speechless. We were very happy and proud. I felt that it was not him who was playing, but me and my family,” said Nitish’s sister Tejaswi, who spoke to the ABC broadcast team on air.

Father’s sacrifice and Nitish’s dedication

He shared that his path to success has been difficult and full of challenges. He mentioned how his father quit his job to support Nitish’s cricket career, despite facing criticism from others who thought it was a wrong decision. However, his father remained confident in his choice and Nitish, with his dedication, proved everyone wrong. He emphasized that his success is a result of both his father’s sacrifice and Nitish’s hard work.

“It has been a long journey. It has been a difficult road. When my father sacrificed his job, there were many people who did not support him and said he was making the wrong decision. But my father was sure he was making a good decision. He always supported my brother and what I must say is that my brother kept that promise and proved it himself. It’s just not my father’s sacrifice, but also his dedication. It is a combination and it worked,” Tejaswi added.

Tejaswi remembers Nitish U19’s great performance

Nitish’s sister recalled a crucial moment before the IPL when Nitish was playing in the U19 team. He mentioned how he scored 441 runs in a game, which made them realize his potential and believe that he would achieve great things in cricket. He added that Nitish had always promised them that he would succeed and he kept that promise.

“It was before the IPL itself when I was in the U19 category. He scored 441 and then we realized he had the ability and would succeed. “He has always promised us,” he added.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 114 runs off 189 balls, including 11 fours and 1 six, helping India reach a total of 369 runs in their first innings.
