Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali indulged in an ugly joke with a fan during Pakistan’s tour of Australia 2023-24. A fan made sarcastic comments to Hasan Ali at the Sydney Cricket Stadium after the third Test of PAK vs AUS and the Pakistan pacer gave him a befitting reply.
Pakistan recently lost a three-match Test series in Australia. The visitors, led by Shan Masood, faced a humiliating 3-0 series defeat. Hasan Ali joined the team due to the absence of pacer Naseem Shah, who has been out of the field since the 2023 Asia Cup due to injury.
Pakistan lost the first Test by a huge margin of 360 runs. They showed better performance in the second test in Melbourne, but in the end they lost by 79 runs. In the third test they dominated in the first inning. However, the visitors succumbed to Australia’s pace attack in the second innings and suffered a loss by 8 wickets.

After the PAK vs AUS third Test, Hasan Ali greeted some fans at the Sydney Cricket Stadium. During the incident, a fan in the crowd mocked Hasan Ali for his catching skills. He said, “Come here, let me teach you how to fish.”
To this, Ali gave a befitting reply and asked the fan to come out and teach him how to catch. The video of the moment was captured by cameras and went viral on social networks. Check out the video below.

Hasan Ali missed the catch of Matthew Wade in the semi-final of T20 WC 2021
Notably, Hasan Ali dropped a crucial catch from Matthew Wade during the semi-final clash between Pakistan and Australia of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He later caused disaster when Wade smashed three consecutive sixes in the 19th over to take Australia to a victory and also the final.
Later, Hasan Ali was also criticized by many for dropping Wade’s catch. Later he also lost his place in the national team and did not play in the T20 World Cup 2022. However, after Naseem Shah’s injury, the right-arm pacer returned to the team for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 .

Pakistan to face New Zealand in 5 T20Is
Meanwhile, Pakistan will now tour New Zealand for a T20I series after the Test series loss to Australia. Shaheen Afridi will lead the T20I team for the first time during the tour. The PAK vs NZ T20I series will observe five games from January 12 to 21. The tour comprises only the T20I series.
After facing a whitewash against Australia in the Test series, Pakistan have faced a major setback in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. Pakistan has fallen to sixth place in the ICC World Test Championship points table. They have a PCT of 36.66 after losing 3 of 5 games. Pakistan has played 2 test series out of 6 so far.
