Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has clarified his doubts about his The ‘Tauba Tauba’ dance video came under fire for mocking disabled people. She said her intention was not to offend anyone and was just to reflect the pain in their bodies after the tournament.

The Indian champions created history by defeating the Pakistan champions in the final of the World Legends Championship 2024. They displayed good cricketing style throughout the competition and defeated their arch rivals to win the title under the leadership of Yuvraj Singh.

After winning the tournament, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh posted a very funny video on their Instagram account. They posted the video with the famous song “Tauba Tauba” and highlighted that their body aches after playing the game.

In the video, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Raina are seen limping and holding their backs to show the effort they had to put in during the tournament. They posted the video with the following caption:

“The pain in the body is increasing” In 15 daysCricket legends… My whole body hurts. Direct competition with our brothers @vickykaushal09 @karanaujla, our version of Tauba Tauba dance. What a SONG!

However, after posting the video, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh received a lot of criticism for it. Even a A police complaint was filed against them for allegedly making fun of disabled people in a video. It was filed by the Executive Director of the National Center for Employment Promotion for Persons with Disabilities (NCPEDP).

Not only that, but they also received a lot of criticism for mocking the champion Pakistan team. During the match, Misbah-ul-Haq also left the field injured and walked off the pitch limping. Many even criticised them for mocking the injured player.

Harbhajan Singh issued a clarification after Tauba Tauba’s video went viral.

Amidst all the criticism, Harbhajan Singh made a statement and clarified that they did not want to hurt anyone. He apologized to people for hurting their sentiments. He has now deleted that video as well. On his Twitter account, he said:

“We just wanted to make it clear to our people who are complaining about our recent Tauba Tauba videos on social media… We did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. We respect every individual and community and this video was just to reflect on our bodies after playing non-stop cricket for 15 days.”

“Aching bodies…we are not trying to insult or offend anyone…still if people think we have done anything wrong…all I can say on my behalf is SORRY to everyone…please let’s stop this here and move on. Stay happy and healthy. Love to all. Cheers.”

India Champions defeated Pakistan Champions by 5 wickets in the final of the tournament. They were asked to bowl first and restricted their arch rivals to a total of 156/6. With the bat, they lost a few wickets but chased down the target in the last over to win the title.
