The India A team led by Shubman Gill suffered a major setback a day before the start of the Duleep Trophy 2024as lanky athlete Prasidh Krishna was denied a return to action.

Krishna has reportedly been ruled out of India A’s first game of the 2024 Duleep Trophy on Wednesday, September 4.

A report by Cricbuzz claimed that the Indian pacer is yet to attain full match fitness, resulting in him missing India A’s first game of the Duleep Trophy 2024 against India B on Thursday, September 5 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

However, there is no news yet on Krishna’s replacement for the game. The fast bowler underwent surgery in February on the proximal tendon of his left quadriceps and was undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
