PSL 2024, which is the ninth season of the league, will be held in four cities in the country of Pakistan, according to reports. The match will be held in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan according to the PCB.
The tournament is expected to be played between February 18 and March 19 as per the proposed schedule. However, there are some logistical issues that need to be addressed, such as the suitability of the schedule, due to the cold and fog.
There is also the possibility of considering Karachi as the venue for the final. Players and franchises are concerned that possible low attendance will affect ticket revenue. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans have proposed Multan as the venue for the final with the hope of attracting fans to the stadium.

On the other hand, franchisor Peshawar Zalmi is keen to play its home matches in Peshawar and claims that the construction work around the stadium will be completed in two months. However, the PCB is yet to decide on the matter.
The PCB is set to release the schedule on December 13, the day the PSL draft will be held. There is another important concern: the celebration of double days in March, the month of Ramadan.
There were also discussions about moving the PSL 2024 to the United Arab Emirates due to the national elections in the country. However, the PCB is confident of hosting the tournament in the country.
Trades between franchises already began before the draft. Karachi Kings have signed new Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood ahead of the upcoming ninth season of the Pakistan Super League. Naseem Shah moved to Islamabad United from Quetta Gladiators in another big trade.
485 international players from 22 nations have registered for the draft. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik have been retained by their respective franchises. Except Multan Sultans, all other franchises, have retained a maximum of 8 players that they are allowed to retain.
