Lockie Ferguson suffered an injury to the hamstring during the Punjab Kings clash against SRH
Punjab Kings (PBKS) signed the New Zealand Kyle Jamieson pacemakers as a replacement of the injured compatriot Lockie Ferguson for the rest of India Premier League (IPL) 2025, an official statement confirmed on Thursday.
Ferguson was injured in the early phases of the competition and bowling coach James Hopes had confirmed more or less his departure from the tournament before his first clash against Kolkata Knight riders.

Ferguson was able to play only two deliveries before breaking the field in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Uppal stadium in Hyderabad.
Jamieson, who made his international debut in 2020 and impressed with raw and rebound pace, had suffered fracture by stress on his back in February 2024 and was discarded for a year.
“The right arm kiwi will join PBKs for INR 2 million rupees,” said an official statement.

The kings of Punjab have managed to maintain their bowling actions despite the absence of Ferguson. The team is full of rapid off -road options that have set their hands during the course of the season that was suspended during a week last Friday.
PBKS on the edge of the playoff rating
ArshdeEP Singh and Marco Jansen have claimed a combined total of 11 WICKETS of 11 games, while the tastes of Azmatullah Omarzai and Xavier Bartlett have contributed useful contributions.
