We are looking for a long-term coach, for three years – Jay Shah
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently spoke about the Indian team’s head coach position. He stated that they are looking for a long-term coach and that they are not interested in having different coaches, and he also opened up about the possibility of having a foreign coach. In statements to the media, he stated:
“We will call for applications in the coming days. Rahul Dravid’s tenure will come to an end in June. We are looking for a long-term coach, for three years. There is no precedent for different coaches for different formats in Indian cricket.
“In addition, we have several players of all formats. Ultimately, it will be the decision of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). I have to implement what they decide. “If the CAC chooses a foreign coach, I cannot interfere.” He concluded.
