Rajasthan Royals (RR) entered the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) auction with the lowest purse available, INR 41 crore, but managed to make smart acquisitions to add versatility and depth to their team.
Since they retained the core of their batting unit, RR focused more on strengthening their bowling department. The inaugural IPL winners brought back English speedster Jofra Archer, who was their most expensive purchase at INR 12.5 crore. They also added the Sri Lankan duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Will Jofra Archer be a liability again?
Jofra Archer is an injury prone player and has had previous issues with workload management. However, the new rules forced him to change his mind and put his ring in his hat.
