Their antics eventually proved fruitful for Delhi as they earned a draw by fighting in the finals.

Some dramatic scenes unfolded during the final moments of the Group D match between Delhi and Tamil Nadu of the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy. Navdeep Saini was involved in faking an injury to waste some time and ensure a draw between the two sides.

The bowler bowled at a bouncer, which Navdeep tried to duck, but the ball hit his helmet directly. When the player asked him if he was okay after receiving a blow to the head, Saini gave him a thumbs up, indicating that he was fine and that the blow was not hard enough to have serious consequences.

However, he immediately realized that he could waste some time by calling the physiotherapist and signaling to the ward, asking the medical team for treatment. He lay on the ground while holding his helmet, suggesting that he was in pain because of that gorilla.
