So far this season, Patidar has scored 239 races of 10 tickets.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has received good news ahead of the Restart of the Premier League (IPL) 2025. His captain Rajat Patidar has returned to the camp and began training again. He was seen hitting the networks at the Chinnaswamy stadium on May 14.
Big Boost for RCB when Rajat Patidar returns to training
This happened only a few days before the next RCB game against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17, the opening game after the restart of IPL 2025. Patidar’s return is great news for the team, especially after there were concerns about his finger injury.
Patidar had injured his finger while in the last RCB game before the tournament stopped, which was against Chennai Super Kings. He was later seen using a splint, raising doubts about his availability for the rest of the season. There were even reports that suggested that some matches could be lost. However, his recent net session shows that he is recovering well and could play XI or be used as an impact player depending on his physical state.
So far this season, Patidar has scored 239 races from 10 entries at a strike rate of 140.58. He has also hit two media centers and played some crucial blows in the average order.

International matches could affect the availability of players abroad from RCB
With several players abroad who possibly go to national tasks due to the next international matches, Patidar’s return becomes even more important for RCB.
International matches such as the final of the World Testing Championship between South Africa and Australia on June 11, the Odi Series of England against Western Indies from May 29, and the previous series of Western Indies against Ireland as of May 21, it is likely to face the final stages of the IPL. Some important players abroad could have to leave the tournament early due to international matches.
In this case, having Rajat Patidar back and completely is a great advantage for RCB. It can be an important player since the team tries to reach the playoffs and go after its first IPL title.
