Ramandeep Singh will represent Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season after being bought by them in the ongoing 2024 IPL auction.

Ramandeep Singh, a middle-order batsman who can also bowl medium pace, had signed up at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs and managed to attract just one offer from the Kolkata-based team. In the last two seasons of the IPL, he was part of the Mumbai Indians camp. He made five appearances in 2022, scoring 45 runs besides taking 6 wickets.

Before signing Ramandeep Singh, Kolkata Knight Riders had gone all out to secure the services of Australian star Mitchell Starc. The two-time IPL champions signed him for a record price of Rs 24.75 crore, making Starc the most expensive player in the league’s history. Apart from Ramandeep Singh and Starc, Kolkata Knight Riders also bought KS Bharat, Chetan Sakariya and Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
