The star of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Jacob Bethell, has been named in England performing XI for the fifth and final test against India in the Oval.
England has made four changes for the final test with Captain Ben Stokes discarded due to an injury. Jacob Bethell enters as his replacement. They have been replaced by Gus Atkinson, Jamie Overton and Josh Tongue.
The first signs suggest that Jacob Bethell could be a long -term asset in the tests
Jacob Bethell, the all -terrain of 21, made his debut in the test against New Zealand during the England tour in November 2024. He had a great beginning in his career in the red ball, playing three tests and scoring three fifty in six entries.
One of those tickets was a brilliant 96 in the second test, where there was a little deserved century. It was included in the XI Playing since Jamie Smith was not available for the series, and Bethell took a step forward in number three and acting consistently. He is currently averaged 52.00 in test cryket.

Jacob Bethell continues to deliver all formats with its adaptability
Until now in his short career, Bethell has taken full advantage of each opportunity, either in tests, hate or t20is. Also at the IPL, he played two RCB games in the 2025 season and scored a fifty in the second game.
With Ben Stokes discarded from the final test, Bethell is expected to be located in the average order, probably in number six. With Liam Dawson is not part of The Playing XI, Bethell could also be asked to collect a few turns to fill that void.
