RCB Batter puts on a one-man show as he scores a fighting century on Day 1 of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season

The team could have been in a terrible condition if he had not struck on time and scored a ton with the bat.

A Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star scored a magnificent century on the first day of the Ranji Trophy 2024/25. The batsman played his shots from all sides of the field and showed his class with the willow.

RCB batsman Suyash Prabhudessai scored a brilliant 120 off 190 balls, including 17 fours, as he opened the innings for Goa against Manipur at the Goa Cricket Association Academy. Wickets were falling around him, but Suyash held on strongly and played a cautious knock.

He scored runs against all the opposition bowlers and ran strongly between the wickets during this knock. 43.33% of his runs came on ones and twos, showing that Suyash was smart enough to find spaces and rotate the strike.

He finally got out in the first delivery of the 63rd over, and Ronald M got a prize, but Suyash had already done his job. The team could have been in a terrible condition if he had not struck on time and scored a ton with the bat.

Goa finishes with 302/7 after the first day

After losing the toss, Goa were asked to bat first on the first day of a new Ranji Trophy season. However, they couldn’t get off to a good start as they lost their opener, Rohan Kadam, by 4 points in the 8th over.

Manthan Khutkar, who came to bat at number 3, could not last long and lost his wicket in the 14th over to put Goa in trouble. Then Siddharth KV was dismissed for a low score and Goa desperately needed a partnership.

Finally, a 94-run stand between Suyash Prabhudessai and Snehal Kauthankar provided stability to the innings before Snehal lost his wicket. Later, Goa captain Darshan Misal played a good knock of 51 runs while Samar Dubhashi is unbeaten on 39 at the moment as Goa ended the day on 302/7 and would be the happiest team.

For Manipur, Rex Rajkumar and Kangabam Priyojit Singh got two wickets each. They will look to take the remaining wickets and finish the innings as soon as possible tomorrow.
