Virat Kohli admitted that his daughter Vamika has already started enjoying swinging the cricket bat but stated that he is not sure if she will become a cricketer.
The 36-year-old welcomed his first child with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma on January 11, 2021 in South Africa. Since then, all fans have been wondering if Virat Kohli’s daughter will follow in the footsteps of her father, the greatest batsman of the modern era.
Fans became even more anxious after Virat Kohli gave birth to a baby earlier this year, causing him to miss the entire five-match Test series against England. While her son, named Akaay, is too young to have any interest in cricket, Kohli’s daughter seems to have taken up the bat and fans are now eager to see Vamika swinging the bat.
Virat Kohli reveals Akaay is healthy and Vamika has picked up a bat
Virat Kohli recently appeared in an interview with none other than content creator and RCB mascot Mr. Nags (Danish Sait). The videos of the duo, whenever they meet, go viral all over social media as Mr. Nags always asks silly but funny questions to the batsman.

This time was no different either. Mr. Nags was dressed in his usual suit and felt like teasing Virat Kohli. The video starts with Nags asking Kohli if he is his friend because he is a common man and not a commentator. That question brought a mischievous smile on the batsman’s face as he had a bit of a cold war with the people in the commentary box at IPL 2024.
In the same context, Mr. Nags asks him if he is friends with the guy who said a lot of good things about him and his name is Sunil. Nags referred to Sunil Gavaskar’s on-air attack on Virat Kohli in the context of commentators criticizing him for no reason.
After a few seconds of pause, Virat Kohli asked ‘Who’ and Nags answered Sunil Chhetri, who is a very good friend of the cricketer.
Mr. Nags then asked Virat Kohli about his son Akaay and how he was doing. To this, Kohli replied: “The baby is fine, healthy and everything is fine.” Nags then made a hilarious claim that Virat had planned his family very well as one of his sons will play the IPL and the other in the Women’s Premier League.
It was then that Kohli revealed the precious information about his daughter. “My daughter picked up a bat and she really started to enjoy the swing. But I’m not sure. It’s her choice at the end of the day.”
