RCB vs GT: Watch: Vijaykumar Vyshak takes a stunning diving catch to return Rahul Tewatia

Vijaykumar Vyshak, on Saturday (May 4), took a stunning catch to send back Rahul Tewatia in the ongoing game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

RCB needed Tewatia’s wicket to restrict GT to less than 150. The hard-hitting all-rounder had already started and was hitting 35 runs off 20 balls in the 18th over. With two more overs remaining and GT on 136, Tewatia looked set to take his team to a total of over 160.

However, he could not put the finishing touch on the innings when Vijaykumar Vyshak’s impressive catch sent him back in the last ball of the 18th over. Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal bowled a short delivery and Tewatia tried to pull.

The off-road GT took a while to pull and ended up closing in on the third man. It looked like the ball would land safely, but Vijaykumar Vyshak had other ideas. The RCB pacer ran to his right before diving to catch the ball.

Talking about the game, GT were unable to finish their innings strongly, amassing just 11 runs after Tewatia’s departure and were eventually bowled out for 147. At the start of the innings, they were reeling at 19 for 3 against the likes of David Miller, Shahrukh Khan , and Tewatia helped them to a respectable total. For RCB, Mohammed Siraj, Dayal and Vijaykumar Vyshak got two wickets each.

“Very happy because the team has done well. I’m glad we were able to restrict them to 150-odd. Our bowling coach told us to go to the right areas, we executed our plans. We tried hard with the bouncers, happy we got a pair”. of windows.

“I’ve been working hard with the fielding coach, that’s helping me. Taking one game at a time. It’s a little swollen, both my hands are swollen but I’m fine. I’m pretty confident we’ll get that total.” Vijaykumar Vyshak said after the innings.
