The incident occurred on the third ball of the last over in the first innings when Irshad bowled a long-on yorker, which Odean Smith hit firmly at long-off and called for a quick second run.

Adil Rashid pushed hard to gain ground, but David, posted on the edge, reacted quickly. He collected the ball cleanly and delivered a precise shot to the bowler’s side, leaving Rashid well short of his area.

Delhi Bulls secure 8-wicket win in Playoff 1

Delhi Bulls emerged victorious in the Abu Dhabi Eliminator 1 T10 after a solid all-round performance. Winning the toss, the Bulls opted to bowl and their pacers delivered effectively.

Muhammad Rohid Khan led the attack with 2/27, while Fazalhaq Farooqi, Shahid Bhutta and Salman Irshad each claimed a wicket, restricting UP Nawabs to 98/7 in their 10 overs.

In response, the Bulls suffered an early setback with the dismissal of James Vince, but quickly recovered. A vital 67-run partnership between Shadab Khan and Tom Banton set the stage for the chase.

Captain Rovman Powell then added the finishing touches, while Banton, who scored a brilliant half-century off 22 balls, hit the winning runs to secure victory for the Bulls, who won the match by 8 wickets.
