Retained Gujarat Titans star scores brilliant century against Australia Just two days after IPL 2025 retention deadline

Recently, Sai Sudharsan was signed by Gujarat Titans for ₹8.5 crore for IPL 2025.

During an unofficial Test in Mackay, Queensland, Sai Sudharsan scored a century against Australia A, putting the Indian A team in a strong position. On the third day, he resumed his innings on 96 and reached a hundred in the fourth over of the day.

Recently signed by Gujarat Titans for ₹8.5 crore for IPL 2025, Sudharsan has shown good form and is expected to score big for his franchise in the upcoming season.

In India A’s second innings, Sudharsan reached the crease after the early loss of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for just 11 runs. He reached his century in 192 balls but soon made 103. Although Abhimanyu Easwaran fell early, Sudharsan stood his ground and built a solid 196-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal. In the first innings he scored 21 runs.

Sudharsan’s century came at a crucial time as India A trailed by 88 runs in the first innings and had lost two quick wickets in the second. Thanks to his hundred and support from Padikkal, India A’s lead has now extended beyond 200 runs.

Sudharsan made his international debut last year against South Africa, scoring 127 runs in three ODIs, including two half-centuries. He was also part of the T20 team but is yet to play his first innings in the format.

India A’s second innings ends at 312, Australia A needs 225 to win

India A resumed Day 3 at 208/2, with Sai Sudharsan at 96* and Devdutt Padikkal at 80*. Sudharsan scored a century, reaching 103, and Padikkal contributed 88 before both were dismissed, leading to a mini collapse. India A quickly fell from 226/2 to 256/5 as they lost momentum. Middle-order batsmen Baba Indrajith, Ishan Kishan and Nitish Reddy failed to convert their openings into big scores, and India A were eventually bowled out for 312, putting Australia A on a target of 225.
