According to a report by Code Sports, retired Australian opener David Warner has made himself available for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy. He will appear in the Sheffield Shield to prepare for the series.

His last Test outing was against Pakistan earlier this year in Sydney and he retired from the format. Later, he also announced his retirement from white-ball formats, with his last outing for Australia coming during the 2024 T20 World Cup.
