We didn’t have much to practice before the first T20I against South Africa, however, we did have some before the first match of the series against Australia. “We had fun and enjoyed hitting sixes during practice, so obviously I would say Rinku and Yashasvi are way ahead of everyone else.”

IND vs SA: Yashasvi is the kind of player who doesn’t hold back – Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad further spoke about his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal and said that the left-hander is the kind of player who likes to take on the bowlers. He added that it is important for him to maintain an end when his partner is doing very well. He elaborated:

“Above all, he is the one who takes the attacking shots from the 1 ball. Yashasvi is the kind of player who does not hold back. I just have to calculate some risks and play according to what the team requires. Definitely, when someone like Yashasvi struggles at the other end, it’s obviously crucial for me to hold the other end and let him express himself however he wants. “I enjoy hitting with him.”
