Mumbai Indians arrived in Hyderabad ahead of their second game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Both teams have been working hard ahead of the game and would be eager to register victory after losing their first games against Gujarat Titans and Riders. the Knights of Kolkata respectively.

Players from both teams were seen practicing together on the eve of the game. But it was captain Rohit Sharma who stole the show with his antics. The former Mumbai Indians captain was seen taunting Mayank Agarwal with the flying kiss gesture.

For the unversed, Mayank Agarwal received the flying goodbye kiss from pacer Harshit Rana during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The batsman first punished the bowler and hit him for a six and a four all over the park. But it was the fast bowler who had the last laugh.

When Harshit Rana removed Mayank Agarwal, the fast bowler approached the batsman and gave him a flying kiss before staring at him. The batsman, however, did not react and took a long walk back to the pavilion as he kept his head down after being dismissed.

Mayank Agarwal in that game scored 32 runs and gave his team a good start in the big chase. The batsman played some magnificent shots in his innings and along with Abhishek Sharma (32), formed a fifty-plus partnership against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

After Mayank Agarwal got out, Heinrich Klaasen stole the show with his brutal innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad were down and dusted in the game. But he eased the hopes of his fans with his sensational innings of 63 runs off 29 balls. He made the game last but couldn’t take his team home.

Harshit Rana fined 60% of party fees for expelling Mayank Agarwal

After giving the aggressive dismissal to Mayank Agarwal, fast bowler Harshit Rana was fined for violating level 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct. The fast bowler crossed two notches and was fined 10 per cent and 50 per cent of his match fees.

Releasing the official statement, IPL stated: “Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Harshit Rana has been fined a total of 60 per cent of his match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during the match. Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 of his team against Sunrisers Hyderabad. at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 23.”

“Rana committed two Level 1 offenses under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He was fined 10 per cent and 50 per cent of his match fees for the two respective offences. Rana admitted the two infractions and accepted the penalty from the match referee. For Level 1 violations of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the Match Referee is final and binding.

Harshit Rana was the hero of Kolkata Knight Riders in that game as he defended 13 runs off the last ball and helped his team win the game. He took three wickets in the game.
