Team India captain Rohit Sharma has sent a stern message to Bangladesh ahead of their upcoming two-match Test series on home soil.

Rohit Sharma said that every series is important for them and added that they have to give their best against the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led team.

The Indian team will be back in action after a month-long break from international cricket. Team India will begin their home season with the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

The Men in Blue will also play a three-match T20I series against Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh team is coming off a win over Pakistan in the two-match Test series.

They recorded a 10-wicket win during the first match of the series, followed by a victory in the second Test match to complete the series. Bangladesh will be hoping to maintain their good form against India in the upcoming series.

I’m not sure how it works for other teams – Rohit Sharma

At the pre-match press conference, Rohit Sharma said that every series is important for Team India and asserted that they cannot relax just because they have won a trophy. Sharma added that they must make the most of their limited opportunities to play cricket.

“We know how it works. Talks will start about how we lost the bilateral series if we don’t win. I’m not sure how it works for other teams, I can only talk about India,” Rohit said at the pre-match press conference.

“Every series is important for us. We will not relax just because we have won a trophy, it doesn’t work like that. We have to make the best of everything. We have very little time to play cricket,” he added.

The Rohit Sharma-led side is currently at the top of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table. India have won six out of nine Tests and have a points percentage of 68.52% in the current WTC cycle. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are at the fourth spot with a points percentage of 45.83%.
