RP Singh admits he didn’t expect India’s rising star to make a big impact on cricket

Several quality players have arrived on the international stage and debuted for India in recent times across all formats.

Several quality players have arrived on the international stage and debuted for India in recent times across all formats. The skills they have demonstrated are remarkable, and their ability to learn and adapt quickly has been a notable aspect.

Among the many impressive players is Rinku Singh who played at every possible opportunity and sealed his place in the shortest format with authority. Despite doing a tough job batting at different positions in the middle and lower middle order, Rinku has been consistent and played according to the team’s requirements.

At Colors Cineplex, former India player RP Singh admitted that he did not expect Rinku to have such a big impact on cricket. He described Rinku as “very brave.”

“When he started being part of the UP team, at first it was not easy to play for the UP team, but playing and giving performances is even more difficult. You have to be a little tough mentally because it is a big state and has many players. To be honest, when he started playing for UP, I didn’t think he would have such a big impact on cricket. “I knew he was a very brave player, who plays very well, tries hard all the time and tries to play great innings.”

Rinku Singh played a crucial role in the second T20I vs Bangladesh

The ever-impressive Rinku Singh played another timely knock against Bangladesh in the second T20I in Delhi. At 41/3 when the team was in trouble, Rinku weaved a prudent partnership with Nitish Kumar Reddy for the fourth wicket and pulled India out of troubled waters.

He scored a brilliant 53 off 29 balls, including five boundaries and three maximums, at a strike rate of 182.76. Even though his team was in trouble, Rinku played his shots and put pressure on the opponent again.

His 108-run partnership with Nitish Kumar Reddy for the fourth wicket took India to a huge 221/9 in the first innings. Later, India also restricted Bangladesh to a low total to win the game.

While Rinku only has a chance in T20Is, he has the caliber to be a superstar in all formats. Expect him to get more opportunities in longer formats as well.
