Former Indian fast bowler RP Singh shared a heartwarming post about MS Dhoni after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. RP Singh also confirmed MS Dhoni’s retirement from the Indian Premier League through its publication on social networks.

Chennai Super Kings suffered a 27-run loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 18. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led team failed to reach the target of 218 runs. They finished the tournament in fifth place in the standings with seven wins in 14 games.

MS Dhoni arrived at the crease when the team was struggling at 129-6. He scored 25 runs off 13 balls, including three fours and one six. He was dismissed when the team needed 11 runs off the last five balls to surpass RCB’s net run rate (NRR). CSK managed to score only one run off four balls.

MS Dhoni’s retirement confirmed by RP Singh

On Sunday, May 19, RP Singh, a close friend of MS Dhoni, hinted at the former CSK captain’s withdrawal from the cash league. Singh mentioned that not every story needs a happy ending and history always remembers those who stood firm until the end of the battle.
