Rajasthan Royals (RR) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 70th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The last league match of the tournament, which is also a leaders’ clash, will take place at the Barsapara. Cricket stadium in Guwahati on Sunday (May 19).
This will be the second time that RR and KKR will face each other in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Since both teams have qualified for the playoffs, the game will serve as a great preparation as they are likely to face the playoffs as well.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to field first in the game against RR. He said that since the game was 7 overs, they did not want to risk batting first. He stated:
“It is a seven-over game, we will have a clear idea of how it is played. Enter Anukul Roy.”
RR captain Sanju Samson also spoke about his desire to play first due to the conditions. Speaking about the combination of him, he stated:
“I would have pitched first too. The last pitch was a lot drier, this one has a bit more moisture, so we wanted to play too. We made last minute changes. I think Nandre Burger could come in and the break is the same.”
