Piyush Chawla gave Mumbai Indians the much-needed breakthrough in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium by castling the in-form Jos Buttler.
Buttler came into this game after scoring an unbeaten match-winning century in his last outing against Kolkata Knight Riders. The England star started the game in progress and he and Yashasvi Jaiswal ensured that the Royals did not lose any wicket until Piyush Chawla came to bowl the eighth over of the innings and the first.
In the first four balls, the veteran spinner conceded just two singles and also beat Jos Buttler’s outside edge with a beauty. On the fifth delivery, the England captain took a reverse sweep to score a four. Piyush Chawla, however, had the last laugh.
On the final delivery of the over, the former India spinner castled Jos Buttler. He completely outplayed the right-handed batsman with a googly. Butler balanced on his back foot and perhaps anticipated the ball would move away from him. However, the ball swung the other way and hit the stump. Piyush Chawla also dismissed Buttler when he was seen saying, “Beh **** od.”

Talking about the game, Rajasthan Royals were at 102 for 1 in the 11th over while chasing 180. At the time of writing this report, Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson were batting in the middle order for the top of the table.
Earlier in the game, Mumbai Indians finished their innings at 179/9. Tilak Varma top-scored for the five-time champions, scoring 65 off 45 balls, while Nehal Wadhera played a crucial knock of 49 runs off just 24 balls. For the Royals, Sandeep Sharma picked up five wickets while Trent Boult picked up one wicket.
“It’s a very good opportunity. It finally came, I’m happy I did well, but I’ll be happier if my team wins. We lost a couple of wickets early on, my duty was to wait for the loose balls, we had done it together all season last game and we had confidence in ourselves to do well again, hoping our team crosses the line and wins,” Wadhera said after the innings.
